  • Virtual instructor-led

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of data analytics using Excel. Participants will learn how to manipulate and analyze data to make informed decisions. This course is ideal for beginners with little to no experience in data analytics, but also with a curiosity for AI.

This course assumes some prior knowledge of and experience with Excel basics. If and as needed, we provide a high-level overview to assist those needing a brief refresher.

Then, we introduce our approach to data analytics that can be scaled up or down, based on the project scope. We review many of the popular introductory topics such as creating tables, sorting and filtering. We include discussions and activities around other popular topics such as VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, data visualizations (charting) and other interesting topics. We also introduce some advanced data analytics as a lead in to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

For this exciting AI content, we first discuss what is AI and why it matters in today’s world. We discuss some key benefits and risk associated with AI. We then discuss how AI can be used with data analytics and provide examples with various versions of Excel. We provide step-by-step instructions (and demonstrations) on getting started, signing-on and trouble-shooting to reap immediate benefits.
