Senior Client Partner
Stuart Crandell is Senior Partner, Board & CEO Services at Korn Ferry, based in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
He is the global leader for the firm’s CEO and Executive Assessment Practice and has supported clients on numerous succession engagements for CEOs, CFOs, senior enterprise leaders, and other C-level executives. Mr. Crandell has assessed and provided feedback to hundreds of senior leaders around the world, evaluating their readiness for CEO and C-suite roles and accelerating their development. He has consulted with boards and CEOs for companies undergoing significant change and transformation, translating business strategies into the leadership requirements needed for the future, and ensuring that they have the right leadership bench to drive and execute their strategic agenda.
Prior to this role, Mr. Crandell led the Korn Ferry Institute, the firm’s research and analytics arm, which was established to share intelligence and expert points of view on talent and leadership. In this capacity, he played a critical role developing much of the firm’s intellectual property.
With over 30 years in the field, Mr. Crandell has industry experience across multiple sectors, including industrial, life sciences, healthcare, consumer goods, retail, financial services, and technology products and services. Previously, Mr. Crandell was on the senior executive team at PDI Ninth House, a leadership solutions company acquired by Korn Ferry in 2013. In this role, he had management responsibility for the firm’s solutions and practice areas, and he regularly consulted with clients on their leadership strategies, high potential identification and development, and succession planning. Earlier in his career, he worked as an organizational psychologist in both the U.S. government and private industry for 10 years.
Mr. Crandell focuses on driving business outcomes for his clients, using a collaborative approach to build their internal expertise and to create practical solutions that work well in their organization and culture.
Mr. Crandell holds doctoral and master’s degrees in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Union College.
