Prior to joining, Mr. Yuan has over two decades of experience in the telecom, wireless, internet and software industries, notably in the areas of sales and marketing, business development, product management and engineering, customer support and consulting.

In the course of his career, Mr. Yuan has set up and led start-up companies, developed new markets and products, as well as managed U.S. and international operations and teams across diverse cultures and locations globally.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Yuan held a number of leadership roles in communications and technology companies in both the U.S. and China.

Mr. Yuan has also provided strategic advice to CEOs, boards and corporations as an independent consultant, advising on business ventures, company operations, financial analysis and planning, customer development and partnerships.

His earlier career he held executive positions with companies such as Motorola Inc., TCSI Corporation and Lightbridge Inc.

Mr. Yuan holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago and an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University. Additionally, he earned a MS degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and a BS degree in computer engineering from Florida Institute of Technology.
