Principal Consultant, NZ Government Lead

Neil works with Senior Leaders to drive strategic performance initiatives. In his role, he draws on his deep technical remuneration and organisational development experience to help organisations drive, reward and retain employee performance.

With over 10 years’ experience in remuneration from both in-house and consulting roles, his experience includes working with clients from all sectors including the Government, Private and Not for Profit Sectors. 

He has led multiple remuneration projects and is skilled in:

  • Total reward and benefit program design at both executive and broad-based levels
  • Organisation design; including development of operating models and organisational structures
  • Job evaluation methodology to determine relative role size
  • Employee engagement survey design and action planning.

Prior to re-joining Korn Ferry, Neil was a Senior Manager at EY Four providing remuneration advice. He has also been the lead remuneration advisor for a large government agency where he led the strategic remuneration while also coaching, training, and managing the operational remuneration activities, including the Job Evaluation panel.

Neil was part of the core team addressing a Pay Equity claim within a New Zealand government agency and led the development of Gender Pay reporting and resolution initiatives.

Neil has a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from Victoria University Wellington, and he is accredited in the following Korn Ferry solutions:
