During his more than 23+ years as an executive search and talent advisory consultant, Mr. O’Callaghan has gained significant global experience in the natural resource sectors with a functional emphasis on Board, C-suite, CEO Succession and executive level assignments. He is member of the firm’s Global CEO & Board Services practice, and currently leads the Board and CEO Succession practice for Canada. His sector experience includes working closely with global major and mid-tier mining and metals companies and  other global natural resources companies.  He has successfully executed assignments in North and South America, EMEA and Australasia.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 2002, he worked for a large Canadian executive recruitment firm in Vancouver. He began his career working in the travel and leisure sector, initially focusing on operations and, later, on human resources, recruiting, training, and development.

Mr. O'Callaghan is an active member in the community having served as both Director and Chair of the Lions Gate  Hospital Foundation for over 10 years.  He was made an Honorary Director of the Foundation in 2022. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.
