Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Jonathan was APAC Regional Managing Partner for Healthcare & Life Science practice with another global executive search firm.

Before his executive search career, Jonathan has accumulated over 25 years of professional experience in both private and public sectors. He was one of the first Chinese-American lobbyists working for an established Washington DC based Government Affairs consulting firm. During his tenure with the organization, Jonathan advised multinational companies in Sino-America transactions at both the strategic and tactical levels. Jonathan also held senior corporate positions such as China Country General Manager and Global Commercial Leader for both US and Japanese publicly listed companies in the Industrial and Medical Diagnostic Industries.

Early in his career, Jonathan was with the US Air Force (USAF) - reported to a Major General of the USAF where he gained the fundamental life values of devotion, discipline and teamwork. Jonathan currently serves as Sr. Advisor at The Carlyle Group and an Advisor to the Chairman at Hepalink (002399 SHE), a public listed Chinese Pharmaceutical Company. Moreover, he served on Asia Advisory Board for Coloplast, a Danish based global medical device company.

Jonathan was raised in China (Beijing) and educated in the US from high school. His academic background includes an Engineering (B.S) from University of Maryland, Business (MBA) from University of Baltimore and Law (LL.M) from China University of Political Science & Law.
