Jessica Schmidt guides professionals as they transition their careers from public accounting to industry through the Korn Ferry Compass Program.
Jessica started her career at Deloitte and spent 11 years in audit serving a myriad of clients. During her time there, she also had the opportunity to be a part of the firm’s national office as a subject matter expert in developing and facilitating audit training for all levels. After Deloitte, Jessica joined U.S. Bancorp in the corporate audit services department, where she was a leader on the Professional Practices team. She also held various bank-wide leadership roles related to the organization’s business resource groups, campus relations, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion.
Driven by a strong commitment to helping professionals unlock their potential, Jessica combines her industry experience with a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals transitioning from public accounting. Through mentorship, strategic guidance, and comprehensive skill-building rotations, she empowers participants to gain the confidence and success they seek in their new career paths.
Jessica is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jamestown. When not serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for Compass professionals, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. She also volunteers as a mentor through Menttium where she supports highly accomplished professionals reach their full potential and funds an annual accounting excellence scholarship for her alma mater.
