With more than fifteen years of executive search experience, Mr. McKinnis brings a wealth of knowledge in the technology, software and communications marketplace to the Firm.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. McKinnis was a managing director with a global executive search firm in New York and Atlanta. His responsibilities included managing senior level searches within the technology practice and building the emerging technology portfolio for the firm. He has successfully recruited chief executive, chief operating, chief marketing, chief technology/information, and chief financial officers, as well as numerous second level management roles.
Previously, Mr. McKinnis was a director of talent management in Boston with the venture capital firm, Internet Capital Group, where he built out the senior management teams for the firms portfolio companies.
Early in his career, he was with MCI as a national account sales representative.
He currently serves on the Artemis board of directors at the Fernbank Museum, the advisory board of New Distribution Inc and is active in the Technology Association of Georgia and the Southeastern Software Association.
Mr. McKinnis received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.
