Associate Client Partner, Organizational Strategy
Jay Sukumaran is a Partner in the Organizational Strategy and specializes in in complex global programs that involve engaging, aligning, and developing Executives and Leaders in areas of people strategy and performance.
As a DE&I Strategist, she currently leads The Inclusive™ Leader Solution at Korn Ferry.
Jay’s leadership is characterized by her ability to translate business plans into strategic human resources operations, ensuring successful execution. She empowers leaders and teams to drive impact by developing solutions that unlock potential at individual, team, and organizational levels.
She has led teams in redefining performance management, learning and development, leadership excellence, and wellness programs. Additionally, she has guided clients in creating and implementing strategic diversity and inclusion plans with multi-year timelines.
In recent years, Jay has focused on inclusive design and innovation with clients across various industries. For example, she has led the design and rollout of Inclusive Leadership sessions, enabling leaders globally to implement practical ways to drive inclusion within their teams.
With over 20 years in the professional services industry, Jay has supported technology, audit, consumer, healthcare, sports and retail clients on multiple projects, translating business plans into strategic and tactical operational plans with multi year timelines in the areas of HR & DEI.
She served as the talent lead for a $3 billion internal global audit technology project and has re-designed, defined, and rolled out a Talent Review and Succession Planning project for a mid-size retail client. Additionally, she developed a shared-services organization in India for technology, finance, audit, and communications clients to increase operational efficiency.
Jay also completed an organizational diagnostic process for a Saudi Arabia-based oil and gas client, developing a performance management and competency framework.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, she was with AlixPartners as part of the Leadership & Org Effectiveness Practice, and the People Business Partner for the Enterprise Improvement Practice.
She has experience defining the framework for Enterprise Resource Groups for Asian leadership and has presented at the ASCEND NYC panel “Women in Leadership.”
Jay holds a master's degree in Human Resources management from the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University.
