Associate Client Partner, CEO Succession & Assessment Practice

Jamie Lopez, Ph.D. focuses his efforts as an Associate Client Partner at Korn Ferry on Board, CEO and executive assessments and succession. He also serves as a leader in the Global Cybersecurity Consulting Practice.

He brings over 20 years management consulting and I/O Psychology experience with the commercial, government and international clients. He brings unique capability of cybersecurity strategy  as well as cyber advisory expertise at both the national and enterprise levels.  Dr. Lopez has unique expertise in driving solutions at the nexus of organizational strategy, people, process and technology across a variety of industries. His specialty areas include executive assessment for succession and development, talent strategy, selection program design,  organizational strategy, change management, and transformation.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Dr. Lopez co-led the Commercial Cyber Strategy Team at Booz Allen Hamilton which included people, organization and C-Suite/Board advisory solutions. He also led the U.S. Based International Strategy Consulting Team and International Cyber Human Capital Portfolio. He has received multiple professional awards for both his client work and research related to assessment, talent strategy and the cyber and data science innovation portfolio. 

Previously, he served as a Senior Director of Global Talent Assessment and Development for a large Multinational Corporation where he redesigned executive selection, assessment, and development programs such as the Senior Leadership Development Center 2.0 which informed the succession management for top-of-house executive roles. 

Dr. Lopez was also a foundational member of Booz Allen’s Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) and focused his work at the intersection of cybersecurity, data science, talent and strategy.  He also worked within the financial industry at the start of his career.

Dr. Lopez holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University and earned the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, an M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with scholar designation from New York University, an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University, and an undergraduate degree in psychology from the College of the Holy Cross. He also completed his Graduate Certificate in Counterintelligence from Mercyhurst University and executive education certificate in Cybersecurity from the Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
