Over her seventeen years as a senior executive search professional, Carla has specialized in C-Level and  senior executive placements in leading firms in the banking, insurance, private equity and securities industries. Additionally, she advises clients on governance, board of directors’ assessments and placements.  Carla brings deep market and industry expertise to the practice.

Prior to commencing her career in executive search in 2005, Carla was Managing Director and the head of Global Banking division for Deutsche Bank Mexico. Carla  joined Deutsche Bank after fourteen years in Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch & Co., where she was  Managing Director, Leveraged Finance. Previously, Ms. Ormsbee  spent five years in Merrill Lynch's Mexico operations where she was a Managing Director, Investment Banking.

Carla’s 20-year career in Investment Banking gave her broad exposure to strategic advisory services, financing products and capital markets, both in the US and Latin America.

Carla is a member of the Board of the Centro Medico ABC (ABC Hospital),  She serves on the Strategic Planning, Nominating, and Inclusion and Education Committees. From 2008 to 2017, Carla served on the Board of Trustees of The American School Foundation, A.C., where she chaired the Governance Committee and was a member of the Executive Committee.  She is a member of the Instituto Mexicano de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (IMEF) and of the Women’s Corporate Directors (WCD) Mexico Chapter.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Carla is a dual national with US and Panamanian citizenships. She has been residing in Mexico since 1995.

Carla has a BA degree in Economics from Wellesley College and an MBA from The Harvard Business School.
