Barry Callender is a Client Partner for Korn Ferry Advisory, based in the firm’s Atlanta office. Widely experienced, he serves his clients as a coach, strategist and facilitator.
Barry’s coaching practice focuses on guiding executives as they widen their sphere of influence and take a more holistic approach to driving their enterprise’s success. With newly placed executives Barry provides a roadmap for getting off to a quick, impactful start, effectively addressing their myriad challenges and competing priorities.
Mr. Callender leads our Efficacy Coaching practice which offers demographic-specific coaching to executives and emerging leaders, providing guidance in the areas of building trusting relationships, establishing strategic networks, understanding and managing the concept of “fit” and leading high performing teams.
Barry has served clients in a variety of industries across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He works with clients’ executive teams to develop diversity and inclusion strategies that align with their talent management and organization strategies.
A seasoned trainer and facilitator, he supports his clients’ talent management objectives through innovative program design and delivery on topics including leadership, diversity and inclusion, high-performing teams, and cultural awareness. Participants emerge with skills and tools that enable them to drive higher levels of performance, teamwork, and innovation.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Callender managed a variety of operations and staff functions within United Parcel Service including the corporate office’s training and development function.
Mr. Callender holds a bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University and a master of business administration from Western Kentucky University. He is certified as a master coach by the Behavioral Coaching Institute and is a certified practitioner of the HBDI, Hogan and a variety of Korn Ferry assessments.
