Arjen is a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry advising business leaders how to navigate the disruptive change radically transform their organizations and create sustainable growth towards their triple bottom line (People Profit Planet).

With more than 20 years of consulting experience, he is an expert on organizational reinvention, business model innovation, foresight, and the future of work. He has led a wide range of strategy, innovation and transformation projects across multiple industries, including automotive, aerospace, heavy manufacturing, energy, mining, media, technology and financial services.

Prior to working at Korn Ferry, AJ worked at several other consultancies including Bain & Company, and DSI, a global strategy and leadership development advisory firm specialising in scenario planning and wargaming. He served as a research associate at the NYU Stern School of Business.

  • Helping a Fortune 100 insurance company to accelerate its performance and improve its agility, including organizational redesign, signature processes, culture change, and decision making
  • Moving a global tobacco company from manufacturing cigarettes to next generation products, including re-inventing the business model, identifying talent requirements, and shaping the culture
  • Systemically killing unnecessary complexity and designing simplicity into a global retailer to improve their capacity to accelerate
  • Working closely with the top executives of an international electricity and gas company on generating foresight and re-inventing the business model to create competitive advantage in a rapidly changing market environment
  • Led numerous future studies, including the future of legal, the future of Biofuels, and the future of Legal for a group of Fortune 100 firms

AJ has a PhD in strategy and organizational behaviour from Warwick Business School.

AJ has lectured at Wharton's Aresty Institute of Executive Education and at the European Centre for Executive Development at INSEAD.

He is fluent in Dutch, English and advanced in German and has a basic understanding of  Portuguese.
