Mr. Broer has over 20 years’ experience in executive search. In 2017 he joined Korn Ferry from a global executive search Firm where he was a member of their global board of directors and led the global Bio/Pharma Practice. At Korn Ferry Mr. Broer is co-leading the global Bio/Pharma Practice and also leads the Life Sciences Practice in EMEA.
Prior to executive search, Mr. Broer was a senior vice president at a European-based investment bank, where he managed pan-European client teams for healthcare customers and was responsible for advising clients on major cross-border transactions including equity placements, M&A and corporate finance.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Broer worked in business management, marketing, business development and corporate strategy at two international healthcare companies. He also served as an aspirant fighter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
Mr. Broer specializes in recruiting CEOs, C-level executives, Board Directors and Chairmen in the healthcare sector, with a particular focus on senior level international appointments. During his career in executive search, Mr. Broer successfully completed over a hundred CEO/COO searches within the pharmaceutical and medical technology industries, and also completed a similar amount of Non-Executive Board appointments.
Mr. Broer received his Master of Science in pharmacology from the University of Amsterdam and his MBA in a joint program between Erasmus University and the University of Rochester, New York.
He is fluent in English and Dutch and has a working knowledge of German.
