He leads the Financial Services sector in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH).

With more than two decades of experience in executive recruitment, Carsten has successfully placed senior leaders across investment banking, asset management, insurance, and broader financial services.

He has also built a strong track record in searches that bridge financial services and technology. In addition to executive roles, he advises clients on the recruitment of non-executive directors (NEDs) and board members.

Beyond executive search, Carsten works closely with private equity firms on leadership appointments within their portfolio companies.

He also provides advisory services to government organizations and regulatory bodies on recruiting top-level executives, including chief executives, permanent secretaries, and director generals.

Before joining Korn Ferry, Carsten was a Partner at a global search firm and an international search boutique. He began his career with Korn Ferry as an Associate after working as a Researcher at Korn Ferry Futurestep during his studies.

Carsten holds a B.A. in Economics from Wiesbaden Business School and is a certified banker (“Bankkaufmann”). He is fluent in both English and German.
