Over the last 2 decades, he has advised clients on leadership hiring, with special focus on CEO, CXO and Boards. In addition to multinational companies, he has also worked extensively with Indian Business Groups to help them with senior talent needs for their growth in India and overseas market.

Ashwin has successfully led national and international assignments for clients ranging from medium-sized businesses as well as large international organizations. His areas of expertise are C-level positions and top tier senior executives as well as non-executive board members. In parallel, he also spends a lot of his time on CFO and CHRO as a functional expert in the Industrial sector.

Before joining Korn Ferry, Ashwin was associated with another leading global executive search and leadership advisory firm as a Partner and was the core member of the firm's Global Industrial Practice in APAC region. 

He set up the Diversified Manufacturing practice in India and South-East Asia from scratch and partnered with his colleagues around the world in executing some complex international projects.

He led the General Manufacturing, Alternate & Renewable Energy practice in India and South-East Asia and was also a key member of the Global Natural Resources group.

Ashwin has delivered numerous CEO, COO, CFO, Country Manager, Regional and Functional leadership roles across General Management, Production & Development, Projects, Engineering, Operations and Business Development and New ventures.

He started his career in sales & distribution for one of the leading Cement manufactures of India and helped the company diversify into other building materials product line.

Ashwin secured his MBA in marketing and finance from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Symbiosis College of Commerce Pune, in India.
