Principal, Energy Transition & Natural Resources
John Mensah is a Principal in Korn Ferry‘s London office, where he specialises in the EMEA Energy and Natural Resources sectors. His primary function is originating business, managing clients and delivering searches from end to end.
His expertise spans Board, CEO and other senior-level executive appointments for both publicly listed and private equity-backed organisations.
In this role, John currently leads Korn Ferry’s energy transition related work in the UK, positioning the practice to partner with the most progressive clients as they navigate the energy transition and helping them to align their talent to execute upon their new strategies. In this context John works with investors, incumbent energy companies seeking to transform, utilities / independent power producers / developers, energy services and fast growth technology companies.
John previously spent three and a half years with another large global leadership advisory firm. Here, he worked on searches across the natural resources sector value chain in the EMEA and APAC regions, supporting various producers, explorers and developers.
Prior to this, he worked for a boutique executive search and assessment firm in the B2B industrial space.
John holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Nottingham.
