Regional Practice Leader, APAC, CEO & Board Practice
Graham Poston is the Leader for Korn Ferry’s CEO & Board Practice in the Asia-pacific region, based in the firm's Singapore office.
His key areas of specialisation include CEO Succession and Progression Planning, Board Effectiveness, Enterprise Leadership Coaching, Top Team effectiveness and enhancing business performance through high performing teams and cultures.
A key priority and passion for Graham and his team is partnering with Asian organisations and their key leaders and teams as they seek to transform themselves to remain relevant and competitive on the global stage.
Graham has partnered closely with the Chairs, CEO’s and CHRO’s of over 20 major Asian and global organisations on their CEO Progression plans. This has involved simultaneously accelerating the development and readiness of key internal talent to take on additional responsibilities, whilst proactively identifying, attracting and onboarding potential external successors.
Committed to ensure that innovation and disruption flows from East to West, Graham has co-led the development of Korn Ferry’s new global approach to CEO Progression Planning and its new thinking on Enterprise Leadership. Replacing traditional Succession Planning, this is designed to help identify and accelerate the development of future Enterprise Leaders who have the raw materials, capability and mindsets to thrive in disruptive times.
He brings to his work with clients over 25 years of commercial experience across the Asia-Pacific markets, developed through his previous roles in project finance, M&A and business development at Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and the Virgin Group.
A critical focus of Graham’s work is to assist leaders, teams and organisations to both perform in the short term and to transform with greater speed and agility. Managing this ‘BOTH-AND’ dilemma is a key challenge for many leaders and often requires a leader to challenge some of their underlying mindsets and to develop new Enterprise Leadership practices. He is also passionate about working with clients to build internal capability and to embed the work into the organisation’s culture and practices. This is essential to sustained success.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Graham was the Regional Managing Partner for the CEO & Board Practice at another Leadership Consulting firm, based in Singapore. He also was also the Global Leader of the firm’s Leadership Assessment & Development service line.
Graham is a graduate of Durham University.
