Korn Ferry and Harris Corporation Win a Chief Learning Officer Magazine 'Learning in Practice'? Award

“Leveraging Military Leadership Program” Wins a Silver Award for Excellence in Community Service

LOS ANGELES, October 12, 2015 — Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent global people and organizational advisory firm, and Harris Corporation, which provides advanced technology-based solutions for government and commercial customers, today announced they are joint recipients of a Chief Learning Officer Magazine “Learning in Practice” award.

The organizations were recognized with a silver award for Excellence in Community Service for the groundbreaking “Leveraging Military Leadership Program” or LMLP.

LMLP is an in-depth transformational leadership development experience designed to help veterans strengthen their personal, interpersonal, and executive communication skills, and to develop a focused career strategy for the next chapter of their professional life. This multi-month program, which also includes an immersive onsite experience, is offered free-of-charge to transitioning members of all branches of the military.

In the career-development sessions, veterans work with Korn Ferry senior partners and consultants to chart their professional journey, learn how to apply their leadership skills in civilian positions, and clearly articulate their differentiated and unique value proposition.

“This is much more than a ‘transitions’ program. This is the same world-class leadership development service that Korn Ferry partners offer to their clients, tailored to the unique needs of transitioning veterans,” said Noah Rabinowitz, senior partner and global head of Korn Ferry’s Leadership Development practice.

While Korn Ferry brings the leadership development expertise to LMLP, Harris brings the commercial business sector focus to the veteran population.

“The LMLP program serves participants like a trusted advisor, guiding them in articulating their values, skills, leadership capabilities, and purpose as well as charting career development strategies,” said Rabinowitz. “Even the best and brightest can benefit from good advice as they transition from the war room to the board room.”

Rabinowitz says this program has not only been valuable to the participants, but also beneficial to the organizations that hire them. “Companies reap the benefits of increasing diversity of thought, from highly skilled individuals that are committed to serving a mission.”

To date, more than 210 transitioning members of the military have participated in the program. The next cohort of participants is scheduled to begin the program November 6-8, 2015 in Herndon, Virginia.
