Practice Director, Korn Ferry Interim Financial Services
In this role, Dan is a trusted advisor and subject matter expert ensuring engagement scoping, solution fit, and execution oversight of the industry professional provided by Korn Ferry Interim to clients.
In executing as a Practice Director for Financial Services, Dan leverages years as an impact producing practitioner, advisor, and Board Member, with deep experience in product, operations, sales, client management, risk management, strategy, budgeting, and marketing in the delivery of financial services and products.
Most recently, Dan served as a Sr. Managing Director at Teachers Insurance Annuity Association (TIAA), where he was the Head of Retirement Investment Solutions and Research, for this Fortune 500 Retirement, Asset Management and Banking company. In this role, Dan established and led a team responsible for an industry leading retirement plan default solution capturing billions In client plan assets.
This latest role immediately followed several other increasingly responsible senior level leadership roles including retirement product, pricing, client management and strategy, at Teachers Insurance before Dan’s most recent role.
Prior to TIAA, Dan held a broad series of executive and senior leadership roles at JP Morgan Retirement Plan Services (including COO), where Dan was able to utilize and see first-hand, the positive impact of a skilled temporary leader with a unique skill set drive a successful platform conversion project. The project’s success thoroughly complimenting and upskilling the in-house team. Through this experience, and others, Dan feels extremely bullish about KF Interim’s ability to provide a compelling solution for so many in financial services.
Throughout Dan’s career at JP Morgan, and before that at Mercer HR Outsourcing, as well as Putnam Investments, Dan’s teams delivered outstanding and industry recognized, US client relationship results, among other notable achievements. Dan credits those results in a meaningful way to implementing a team-based relationship plan for each client that fostered collaboration and execution. Before matriculating to the Retirement and Asset Management industry, Dan spent several years a commercial banker in the Boston area.
Today, Dan also serves as an Independent Board of Directors member for the Principal Global Investment Trust Company and is a Registered Principal with FINRA possessing Series 7,24, 26 and 63 securities licenses. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University and an MBA from Boston University.
