Pat Walsh is a Senior Client Partner based in the firm’s Minneapolis office. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and global expertise in executive search and strategy, having led multiple, major CEO and Board search assignments throughout his career for many of the world's leading companies.
In addition to his relationships at the top of the house and his track record of success as a search professional, Mr. Walsh has developed an impeccable reputation with global clients for his strong expertise as a leadership advisor – working closely with organizations to navigate their complex talent and leadership issues.
Mr. Walsh founded The Abbay, which assembled CEOs across multiple sectors to discuss and network about important business and social topics of the day. His ability to convene CEOs provides a unique and eclectic network to serve clients.
Focused on board director, general management, and financial executive assignments for public and private-equity backed companies, Mr. Walsh has helped to build strong CEO and board relationships. He has also served as head of the industrial practice for the Americas, responsible for driving global cooperation across the firm in its largest practice.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Walsh worked at McKinsey & Company, where he developed and led engagement teams serving senior management on strategy and organizational issues. Prior to that, he was a CPA at Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Walsh earned a bachelors of science from Miami University of Ohio and a masters of business administration from the Wharton School. He is active in the Minneapolis community with a history of engagement with Minneapolis Children’s Theatre, Greater MSP, the Super Bowl LII and most recently the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games to be held in Minnesota.
